canopy
Hold tight Hi there!

Canopy has one mission: that the distance between a student and help is never the reason they go without it.

Distance is made of steps: the eighth link, the second form, the number that rings to a menu. Every step is a place where someone gives up.

So we count the steps, and we delete them.

Why this exists

I am an architecture student in Montreal. I watched friends bounce off eighty-link wellness pages because finding help asked for perfect keywords at the worst moment. Canopy is what should have existed: a simple way to real campus and community resources, private on the device, clear when it is unsure.

Built, funded, and cared for by one person since January 2026. It does not diagnose, and it does not replace someone who can listen.

Canopy will never

Play therapist

Invent a service

Make you sign up

Sell what you ask

Put ads in the way

Bury free help

Keep a file on you

Hand your words to AI

Replace real care

Hide the crisis line

Score your distress

Charge for the door

Fingerprint you

Sound sure when unsure

Independent, aimed at nonprofit.

Canopy is independent today. We want to structure it as a nonprofit. That path is underway, not finished yet.

Until then, the same rules hold: health professionals and students guide the hard calls, and nothing is published without a person reviewing it.
